Hello guys we are back with another article,This article is about new innovative in road transportation. Basically we used reinforcement concrete roads and bituminous roads but now a days their is trend of making solar roadway.

This type of roadways are basically used for generate electricity and for reduce global warming. The first implementation of this roadway is in France.


WHAT IS SOLAR ROADWAY ?

Basically solar roadway is the road surface which generates Electricity by using solar photovoltaic cell. This cells are embedded below tough glass layer.

NOW QUESTION ARRIVE THAT WHAT IS PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL ?


Photovoltaic cell is the cell which made by joining N-TYPE and P-TYPE silicon cells.
N-TYPE silicons are that in which silicon is doped with phosphorus and in P-TYPE silicon silicons is doped with boron.

When this two doped silicons join with each other then it will make junction at end of P-type and N-type silicon. This will make parment electric field at joint. And when suns energy applied in form of light or heat at junction then it will increase potential and their will be flow of electric current this is the operation of solar photovoltaic cell.

CONSTRUCTION COMPONENTS OF SOLAR ROADWAY

We have classified constructions component of solar roadway in three part.

1)Glass layer
2) Electronic layer
3)Base Plate layer

Lets we discuss one by one..

1)Glass Layer
Glass layer

This is the top layer of road.The glass is durable,fire resisting and sufficiency tough to carry vehicle loads.

2) Electronic layer
Electronic layer

This layer is provided below glass layer.This layer consist solar photovoltaic cell And it transfer light energy to electric energy.It also contain microprocessor board with support circuitry for controlling heating element in view to reducing snow.

3)Base Plate layer
Base plate layer

This layer provide at bottom of Electronic layer. This layer collect all electric energy and transmit & distribute energy to commercial use or industrial use.

Construction of solar road is difficult compare to normal roadway. In construction frist base plate layer is provided with suitable wiring. Above this layer Electronic layer is provided which are generally solar photovoltaic cell and wiring is provided to connect both layer each another. Above this layers glass layer is provided which protect this layers and used for transportation.

WORKING OF SOLAR ROADWAY

The working of solar road way is simple in which light of sun falls on road surface which is convert to electric energy by means of photovoltaic cell and distribute by base player layer.


CAN CAR'S MOVE ON SOLAR ROADWAY ??

When we think about this layer question arrive that can cars move on this roadway ? If vehicles cant move then this road is useless.


The answer of question is 'Yes We Can'

We can drive two wheeler ,four wheeler and light loaded vehicles. But its difficult to drive heavy loaded vehicles. So this type of roadways are used in city where heavy loaded Vehicles are not permitted.

WHY WE US SOLAR ROADWAY ?

Their are two main  reason behind using solar roadway..

1) Global warming
2)To generate electricity

As we know problem of global warming is increasing day by day. So to reduce global warming we have to use less amount coals,  pretolium products for doing this we have to go with electrics motor. Ultimately solar roadway will used to supply electricity to electric motors.

FEATURES OF SOLAR ROADWAY

The various type of features are..
1) Illuminate Road

 Lanes of roadway contain LED light which are directly operate by electronic layer. This LED illuminate road surface.

2)Electric Vehicles

The energy which is generated by road surface is used for filling electricity in electric car.

3)Snow/Ice management


The road heat themselve with their embedded heating element so its reduce snow or ice on top of road surface.

4) Improve power lighting

The various advantages of solar roadway are..
-Electricity generation
-Eco-friendly
-The solar road plate are completely recycle or reusable
-Ice/snow management as shows above.
-Reduction in usage of non renewable energy.
